With Loopwheeler’s current launch of sweats and tees underway, they have teamed up with Nike to produce a side project on the Nike Blazer Hi model. Consisting of a fleece upper, complimentary of the Japanese fleece purveyors, the rest of the sneaker stays consistent with a nice black and white treatment, capped off by the purple swoosh. As seen on Loopwheeler garments, an orange tag was applied to the heel of the left shoe. This collab will release Saturday, August 9th in very small quantities.

In one of “Sneaker Pimps” largest shows of the year, a last minute venue change didn’t stop the event from playing host to a ton of different acts and headlines. The event included musical performances with Public Enemy and Ghostface, artist exhibitions by tokidoki and Pocket Full of Monsters and video game previews of Street Fighter IV. However above all else the event featured tons of sneakers, both customs and regular releases. This show should equate to interesting developments down the road as the touring exhibition looks to diversify their shows even more to include elements of video games.

This weekend was the release of the long anticipated Nike Air Force One “?uestlove”. The night before the actual release plenty of shoe fiends camped overnight at the location to guarantee themselves a pair, and of course to be the first ones to flaunt them off to their buddies. Celebrity friend Bun B from UGK even showed up to support and took the time out to mingle with the dedicated shoe heads. ?uestlove was very generous in making sure his supporters were very comfortable, throughout the day he had brought them 17 boxes of pizza as well as bottled water and even signed autographs and took pictures. ?uestlove was actually the first person to technically purchase his shoe. The first 5 customers in line got their pair free courtesy of the man himself.
