Reebok Ventilator “Timetanium”

Reebok Ventilator Timetanium

John Maeda is at the forefront of the innovative field of digital media and motion graphics. His impressive resume boasts experience as an artist, graphic designer, computer scientist as well as a current tenure as a professor at the world famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His partnership with Reebok was a perfect fit due to his embodiment of Reebok’s values in individuality and creativity.

Much of Maeda’s designs are derived from mathematical algorithms and programming codes that showcase his ability to cross reference his background in computer science and use it in creating art. Hand written codes seen on the insole are the same codes which create the designs seen on the upper of the Ventilator. In some ways, you could consider Maeda’s designs as a simplification of technology. Creating a more understandable relationship between the overly complex world of technology and art.

The Reebok Ventilator Timetanium will be available only at the RbkCustom site starting November 13th. Price is set at $150 with only 100 pairs in existence.

Bern Showcase Titolo Sports

On the 2nd of November 2007, some of switzerland sneakerheads (yes, there are some) were invited to take part at a sneaker-apèro organised by pocoloco productions and Titolo in Bern - Switzerland. We had the opportunity to take a look at some of the upcoming releases from Reebok, Asics, Puma, Adidas and JB Classics and on the side, we had a very nice Nike display with the usual suspects such as rare Nike Air Max 87´s, Nike Air Force One´s and so on. I guess it’s unnecessary to say that we had a great time, and we like to thank pocoloco-productions and the crew of the Titolo Sneaker Store for this opportunity. Here are some preview pictures.

Nike G.I. Joe Pack

Many people waited patiently for Nike to release the Transformers Pack which was made up of three sneakers. Now they have finally released and Nike is set to release another sneaker 3 pack inspired by the popular 80’s cartoon and toy line. G.I. Joe “A Real American Hero” was one of the most watched cartoons in the 80’s era, and the show was based off a military Special Mission Force Team.

The pack features a Nike Trainer SC Hi, Nike Vandal Hi and a Nike Assault Low. The Nike Trainer SC comes with a pre-yellowed midsole and army green accents. The Nike Vandal is equipped with a “sea battle” water theme and offers a blue translucent midsole, lasered back panel and ballistic mesh upper. Lastly, the Nike Air Assault Low represents ”ground battle” with a reflective camo upper and felt-like midsole. The G.I. Joe font graces the tongue of each sneaker along with a metallic silver swoosh and plush sphere lining. The pack should release soon at select Nike accounts. via BILLY HOYLE (ISS). Stay tuned for release updates!
