The very first photo of the KAWS designed Air Force 1 make 2008 an even better year for the Nike Air Force 1. Kaws uses only black and neon yellow on his first major collaboration with Nike. Black nubuck is used on the entire upper, his signature ‘X’ is used as black stitching on the front of the shoe with just two of the “X” in neon yellow. The midsole is black leather with neon yellow stitching and the outsole is a nice icy neon yellow to review Kaws’ signature in the outsole. Kaws’ signature is also applied to the insole. Rumor is that these drop sometime late Spring in extremely limited quantities and only in New York City.

Nike is set to release a “Be True City Collection” to commemorate the Nike Dunk. Seven cities will see a paltry 86 pairs of their city specific colorway released. Nike seem to have actually chosen some quality rich leathers. Aside from the black upper and gum sole, the colorways are only distinguishable by their tags and laces. No word yet on availability.

Nike and the House of Hoops are taking a famous Basketball shoe and giving the MLB some love by releasing the Nike Dunk Hi in a black and orange colorway. The shoe commemorates the 1885-1957 New York Giants who wore these same colors on their jerseys. The shoe features leather and suede on the upper with the classic NYC log stitched on the side.

Nike and Footlocker’s House of Hoops is paying tribute to the legendary daredevil Evel Knievel with a pair of special Nike Dunk Hi inspired by Evel’s signature red, white and blue stunt suit. A row of stars is stitched on to the heel also calling out Evel’s suit. For those who don’t know, Evel Knievel passed away on November 30th, 2007 after suffering from diabetes and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis for several years. This tribute shoe should be an amazing item for fans and collectors alike. Available exclusively at House of Hoops.

This February, Nike will bring back the Nike Air Safari once again in a new updated color scheme through the Nike Tech Pack crew. This colorway is definitely a departure from the black and orange colorway that made the Air Safari famous. Announced release date is the 22th february.

It was just a question of time when the first pictures of the long awaited Nike Air Jordan VI Carmines surfaces. Rumour has it that this will be the final version which will be released in the countdown package with some Air Jordan XVII (rumored to be black suede with silver accents, we’ll see).
