Nike Dunk Hi “Kentucky PE”

Nike Dunk Hi Kentucky PE

March Madness is underway and what better than big names like Xavier getting in the first round. This weeks throwback was chosen based on two of my favorite loves - college basketball and kicks. That being said, no better choice than a pair of original Nike Dunk Hi PE’s worn by the Kentucky Wildcats.

These kicks were team issued in 1985 to the players of the Kentucky Wildcats with the school’s logo on the tongue as opposed to the tag that all of the other Dunks had.The year that the Wildcats laced up in the Dunks was a rather successful one. Led by coach Eddie Sutton, UK won the SEC regular season and tourney championship and entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed. Sadly the road ended in the Elite-8 when they were upset by fellow SEC member LSU.

Nike Air Force 1 “Air Max” Pack

Nike Air Force 1 Air Max Pack

Streething just published some new shots of the upcoming Nike Air Force One´s “Air Max” that will release this summer. A preview of samples we posted several months ago displayed the upcoming Air Max 90, Air Max 95, and Air Max 97 mashed up with the Nike Air Force 1 Low.

Though the Nike Air Force One´s maintain the integrity of their shape (unlike the Fusions), the shoes are reworked with new tongues, upper materials, and even outsoles to make a closer resemblance to their Air Max counterpart. Nike pays homage to the Air Max runners with this pack of Air Force 1’s. The Nike Air Force 1 Premium Low “Air Max 90″ draws upon the classic infrared colorway and has mesh on the tongue. The Nike Air Force 1 Supreme Low “Air Max 95″ employs the neon green colour scheme, has a remade tongue and 3M accents. The Nike Air Force 1 Lux Low “Air Max 97″ is not pictured but features a unique tongue design and visible air bubbles all around the midsole.

Nike Air Tech Challenge II Hot Lava

Last spring saw the long awaited and much anticipated re-release of the Nike Air Tech Challenge. Though it was great to see the shoe make a comeback, major changes were made to the hue of the “hot lime” to essentially a “maize” yellow.

News broke last fall that Nike would follow up with another Agassi retro - the Nike Air Tech Challenge II. Learning from their mistakes that led to the Nike Air Tech Challenge making its way to outlets, Nike created them just like the original ATC II’s with the “hot lava” color on point.

These Nike Air Tech Challenge II’s anchor a collection of kicks that release this month with the “hot lava” color. Check with your local Nike accounts for this pack overseas.
