Nike Free Hybrid Premium Boots

Since its inception, Nike’s footwear technology Free has represented the brands technological offering in the face of growing evidence that less support yields healthier foot. However, the technology has also been applied in other facets infiltrating the market on a lifestyle level. The Nike Free Hybrid Boot represents yet another upcoming application of the Free sole. Once marketed for those looking for stronger feet and enhanced performance, the Free consistently teeters between the realm of performance and the everyday. The Free Hybrid Boot’s upper boasts one of Nike’s most focused initiatives in the Considered movement which creates footwear on a sustainable level, devoid of toxic glues and environmentally unfriendly materials. The two models seen here include brown leather and black quilted leather. The flexible sole, moc styled toebox and mid cut makes us reminisce of skirt-less Visvism FBT Lhamo. If these interest you, stay patient as they aren’t slated until the Holiday ‘08 season.

Nike Air Max 90 Patent Pack

Completing our trifecta of upcoming Nike Air Max 90 release from Nike is this three pack of sneakers. In essence they aren’t really a true pack as they are loosely affiliated only by their patent side bumper and mesh toeboxs. First up is an all white runners classic with the main highlight coming from a brightly colored sole. Next up are black/gold and red/white joints which are more closely related with the use of ostrich leather on the upper. Nike seems to have really begun to ditch the leather toeboxes which many Air Max fans were beefing about. Look for these to land in Nike accounts in the very near future.

Nike Air Jordan Spizike Spike Lee Exclusive Knicks

Spike Lee recently visited the Complex office to talk about his court-side rivalry with Jack Nicholson, his beef with Rudi, and his new school for sports journalism.

He walked in supporting his choice for ‘08 as well as some exclusive Spizikes made just for him that he refers to as his “New York Knicks joints”. Spike also talks about how his relationship with Nike and Jordan started and they continue to support him and his work.

Nike and Michael Jordan made a $250,000 scholarship contribution for Spike’s new academic program which Spike said was “basically all the money they made on the Spizikes”. Let’s hope Spike isn’t teaching math at his new school.
