Nike Dunk Hi Silver/Red/Blue Nylon

Over the weekend Nike hosted an exclusive, invite only event called the Nike “Be True” Family Reunion. This was a tight lipped friends and family affair with live music by The Cool Kids, Double G, and No Age, a Boston Celtics Dunk tank, BBQ, and free Dunks for attendees.

The Nike Dunk´s that were handed out at the event were dressed in a solid silver nylon upper with red and blue accents drawing a parallel to the Nike Vandal Supreme that we will see in a vintage make up later in the year.

Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Baltoro”

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008 | Posted in Air Force 1, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Force 1 Mid Baltoro

Nike continues the trend of using the Air Force 1 silhouette as the canvas for cross-model collabs. This fall and winter season Nike has its biggest boot lineup to date, but one special make up of the Air Force 1 mid will come to the party dressed as the Nike Air Baltoro. The Nike Air Baltoro debuted in 1989 and accomplished what many thought to be impossible - a boot that could with stand any and all terrain, weather, but be so comfortable that the all day hike doesn’t murder your feet.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Baltoro” has many of the touches that the Air Baltoro sports in its original form while keeping the original shape of the Nike Air Force 1. The swoosh and side panel is the rugged plastic cage that will protect the foot from any terrain it may come across as well as a rich, thick leather upper. To keep the look of the boot, the Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Baltoro” sits atop a solid black rubber outsole and to finish off the shoe Nike used the classic zig-zag laces kids have been stealing from Baltoros at the outlets for years.

The Nike Air Force 1 Mid “Baltoro” are part of Nike’s upcoming Sportswear Collection. At this point in time we do not have release details such as when and how much, but we will definitely keep you in the loop about these kicks.

Nike Air Max 90

A few days ago, the web was buzzing with the images of this Air Mowabb/ACG inspired Nike Air Max 90. Of course, a similar technique was already applied to the Nike Air Force 1 but for Air Max heads, this is definitely a welcome addition to the family. There are several nice details on these in addition to the colors, the toebox is a micro-perorated leather, side mudguard is snake skin like, midsoles are speckled and second set of laces are mountaineering styled. The release date for the US is currently set for June 14th, 2008. Expect the Air Safari inspired Air Max 1 to drop around the same time and in europe at the end of july.

Nike Tennis Classic Rebel Pack

Hiroshi has been hard at work on the Nike Tennis Classic stripping it down so much that he even removed the swoosh. This duo of Nike Tennis Classic´s go in the opposite direction taking steps a more than a decade after their initial release and taking color cues from some of Agassi’s sneakers. Besides the vibrant colors, Nike added the splattered look on the back of the sneaker in the most subtle way it could possible be present.
