Since the unfortunately death of DJ AM, many have wondered if the Nike Dunk he designed will ever release. DJ Premier recently mentioned on his show that the DJ AM Dunk was still on schedule and earlier today Kasina confirmed this by surprisingly releasing them. This collaboration Nike Dunk features DJ AM’s logo on the tongue, black patent leather wrapping much of the shoe, red premium leather for the toebox, side panels and the upper heel while a light grey swoosh and a white midsole round out the shoe. A unique feature are the three rows of perforations along the heel with 3M underneath, similar to the dots of a Technics Turntable for RPM reading. Things have been a little quiet on the Nike Air Force 1 front compared to recent years, but Nike is coming back strong with some interesting new looks for the ladies this holiday season. We have seen a green and purple pair of the Nike Air Max 1 “Patta” that is dropping along with these, to commemorate the stores 5 years in business. Quite a mixture, the color choices compete with just as many material applications- sporting denim, corduroy and perforated nubuck. We are back with another pair for Ben Drury himself that we expected to see in boot form. Turns out, the metal hook eyelet at midfoot is just a design element on the Nike Air Max 90 Current “Ben Drury”. They keep the boot laces and look like they would perform pretty well with a mesh toebox and perforated suede on the rear. The city of Berlin, the event and elements of the occasion are all reflected in the sneaker. The Nike Air Pegasus ‘89 “Berlin” comes with a black/grey/purple upper, using premium leather, suede and mesh.
