Nike 1World Air Force 1 Mid “Feride Uslu”

Nike 1World Air Force 1 Mid Feride Uslu

After Marok’s participation in the Nike 1World Project, it is now the turn of Feride Uslu (Uslu Airlines), another Berlin based artist. The brand of the artist, Uslu Airlines, is known for their cosmetic grade airbrush system and especially for their high quality nail polish. Uslu Airlines has made a strong name for itself over the years. Collaborations with colette, Bernhard Wilhelm, as well as the participation in the recent Barbie 50th Anniversary Project are only a few of the great products that Uslu was involved in.

True to the name of their brand, Uslu Airlines was inspired by airplanes and the airport for their Nike Air Force 1 Mid. The sneaker comes with a sheep lining, the very same used for the pilot seats in the cockpit. The green tongue logo tag stands for the signal color of the tower on all airports and the neon yellow tongue for the security vests of airport employees. The laces are white with a pink line going through it, which is a hint at the cords of a parachute. The strap reminds of the seat belts in the airplane and the inner sole reflects the color spectrum of Uslu as a brand. Last but not least, the 3M Swoosh is also a nice touch

As you can see, a lot of thought went into the Nike 1World Air Force 1 Mid Uslu Airlines and the outcome is a special, yet very wearable sneaker. Wood Wood Berlin will be hosting a release event on April 3rd and afterwards the sneaker will be available at Tier Zero accounts around the globe from April 11th.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Black History Month 2009

With these new images, you can really get a great view of the laser etched Nike Air Force 1 Low “Black History Month” and the “100″ graphics on the upper and the details on the tongue and heel tags. Also more noticeable are the red and green stitching and the green bottom eyelet and piping around the tongue. These sneakers are not released for retail and only given to a select few, so unfortunately this is probably the closest look most of us will ever get.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “1World CLOT”

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 | Posted in Air Force 1, Release Dates, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Force 1 Low 1World CLOT

Its finally Asia’s turn to shine as part of the Nike 1World Air Force 1 campaign and just in time for the Chinese New Year. The collaboration is with Hong Kong based CLOT who has applied their stylistic twist of the Nike Air Force 1 Low. The overall theme for the sneaker is base of the traditional wishes during the New Year which is luck, happiness and prosperity. The upper of the Nike Air Force 1 Low is made from red Clot Royale Deluxe Silk, the most recognizable Chinese-made textile, with embroidered trademark Clot graphics inspired by thousand-year-old Chinese prints. Additionally the red upper-shoe top layer can actually be peeled, burned or torn off to reveal a bottom layer made from dark brown leather. Clot’s trademark Chinese-print graphics, as embroidered onto the silk upper layer, are lasered onto this durable leather layer.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” comes in a special “Chinese Candy Box” packaging set. Traditionally, Lunar New Year celebrations include offering sweets and other edible treats from a red lacquer box to ensure a “sweet” year. Honoring this custom, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” packaging is a hexagonal red box with a partitioned tray layer, to hold shoe accessories, and matching lid. The box’s exterior is adorned with Clot graphics in black.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” will be available on January 16, 2009.
