Nike Air Jordan XX3 “Desert Eagle” PE

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008 | Posted in Air Jordan, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Jordan XX3 Desert Eagle PE

Several months ago Jordan Brand hosted their annual All-American game with the nations top high school basketball players. This year each player was outfitted for the game in the own personalized PE in an exclusive colorway as well as their nickname stitched to the heel just like Jordan Brand Team members in the league receive.

Devin Ebanks of St. Thomas More (Oakdale, CT) was treated with this pair with his nickname “Desert Eagle” added to the ankle. Either Devin received extra pairs not worn in the game or Nike had some back ups floating around, but either way, they found their way to osneaker.com. Devin will have to wait until he gets into the NBA for his next set of Jordan PE’s as he will be playing next year at University of Indiana.

Hypothetically, if this colorway came to stores, would you grab them?

Nike Air Jordan True Flight “Black/Red”

Nike Air Jordan True Flight Black/Red

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have retro Jordans updated to perform to today’s standards? What if your favorite Jordan shoe that came out in 1992 could perform on the court as though it was designed with the pallet of today’s technology? Michael Jordan was the greatest that ever lived, but performance wise, many of his shoes have been out shined by the advancing technology that comes year after year.

Jordan Brand will be doing just that coming in January of next year with the introduction of the Nike Air Jordan True Flight. This shoe clearly looks much like the Nike Air Jordan 7 but is updated wish a flatter sole with herringbone traction for a better grip and Zoom Air for higher performance cushioning.

Some blurry catalog scans have leaked, but these shoes deserve to be seen properly for a first impression. The Nike Air Jordan True Flight will take off January 17th for $140.

The concept of a retro Jordan with the performance of today’s has been a hope of mine for quite a few years. While the thought and concept of the Air Force 25 was solid, the marketing and execution wasn’t what I hoped to see. I applaud Jordan Brand for taking on this task while maintaining the integrity of the design of the shoe and keeping the upgrades in performance most noticeable to those putting the shoes to the test on the court.

Nike Air Jordan I 1 Retro “Olympic”

Sunday, August 17th, 2008 | Posted in Air Jordan, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Jordan I 1 Retro Olympic

The Nike Air Jordan 1 can perhaps be described as one of the most influential sneakers of all time, and the Olympics are most likely the most important sporting event of all time. While both of those statements may be contested by some, there is no doubt that the previous Nike Air Jordan´s with an Olympic theme have been some of the best in the brand’s history. Now, the famous Nike Air Jordan 1 is finally seeing its debut in an Olympic colorway, which should definitely meet with widespread approval from all. Nice metallic accents definitely give these Nike Air Jordan 1’s some visual flair, and tie in to the Olympic medal theme nicely; the patriotic colorway is a nice nod to the efforts of Team USA in the Olympics, particularly the basketball team. The days of the “Dream Team”, home of the famed Michael Jordan, the namesake of these shoes, maybe be gone, but the spirit of Team USA lives on at Beijing. While this summer has definitely seen a number of Olympic themed releases, these Jordans are undoubtedly among the best of them; expect them to drop this September.

Nike Air Jordan 6 Six Rings “Black/White/Red”

Saturday, August 16th, 2008 | Posted in Air Jordan, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Jordan 6 Six Rings Black/White/Red

The folks over at Jordan Brand had a hit on their hands when the Spi’zike was released and even now a year later after it’s initial release, sneakerheads and Jordan fans are asking for more colorways and releases of the Spi’izke. Upon seeing the success of the Spi’zike, it’s possible that Jordan Brand wanted to release more Air Jordan signature mash-ups for Jordan sneakerheads. The next model that they came up with is called the Nike Air Jordan Six Rings, using a little piece of the signature Jordan that Michael Jordan wore when he one each of his 6 NBA Championship Rings with the Chicago Bulls. The reason that this shoe has been so well received thus far is because the first two colorways that are supposed to come out are in classic Air Jordan XI colorways of White and Black and Black and Varsity Red. The Air Jordan Six Rings are now available two colorways, one for men and two for kids, girls and toddlers.

The latest colorway in the Nike Air Jordan 3 (III) / Air Force One Fusion series is this Black / Scenery Green colorway. They feature a never seen before canvas upper, well in terms of Jordan models.
