The recent limited distribution of some Nike Air Max 1 collaborations have people excited and disappointed at the same time; falling in love with a pair but never being able to get them (without losing an arm and a leg) is beyond torture for a sneakerhead. But erase them from your memory for a moment because a set of Air Max 1s are about to drop, and they are about to even the playing field.
This upcoming quintet of 87s known as the Nike Air Max 1 Air Attack Pack includes five great colourways of the OG Air Max featuring an eclectic use of textures/materials - patent leather, suede, mesh, you name it. Take note of both the blue and red pair; it features just ONE color which has not been done with the Nike Air Max 1 with such a vibrant tone. The Nike Air Max 1 Air Attack Pack is set for an April 2010 release so stay tuned!

The Nike Air Attack Pack will be release at Niketowns, Nike Stores, Nikestore and a few select retailers. The pack will include the Nike Air Max 90 Air Attack Pack, Nike Air Max 95 Air Attack Pack, Nike Air Maxim 1 Air Attack Pack, Nike Air Max 24-7 Air Attack Pack and a number of other models as part of Nike´s Air Attack.

We have seen a green and purple pair of the Nike Air Max 1 “Patta” that is dropping along with these, to commemorate the stores 5 years in business. Quite a mixture, the color choices compete with just as many material applications- sporting denim, corduroy and perforated nubuck. As we said last time, we were not sure on release info, but we are glad to let you know these quickstrikes will drop at Patta this Saturday, the 28th.

We can present you a look at an actual Nike Air Max 1 “Patta” collaboration that will be dropping as a Quickstrike some time after the green and purple Nike Air Max 1´s that you already have seen. This colorway features a nice blend of rich colors and materials, using sections of corduroy, denim and suede splashed with varied shades of blue, green and red. Purchaze received the Nike WMNS Air Max 1 “Metallic Silver/White-Black” that comes in a classic shape made out of smooth soft grey suede on the mudguard, grey mesh toebox including the tongue and a cream suede swoosh.

At the heel you can find the white Nike Air stitching and a grey inner towel lining. Featuring a great combination of colors, a wonderful speckled silver midsole, black outsole and nice details!

We have got some detailed shots of one the more well-received colorways for this upcoming season, the Nike WMNS Air Max 1 “Beet/White-Black”.

The upper is comprised of red suede and mesh completely, with the only accents coming in a white Swoosh and Nike logos on the tongues and heels. The traditional all-white Nike Air Max 1 sole gets the bespeckled treatment with more red, and the outsole is black. Red contrast stitching is used on the swoosh as a nice subtle detail.

The pioneering shoe in the whole and massively popular Nike Air Max franchise, the Nike Air Max 1/87 is enjoying a renaissance in 2009 as we see it at the center of various new releases. From the updated hybrid known as the Nike Air Maxim 1 to this new throwback to the original, this year looks to be a good one for those who enjoy, simple, well-designed sneakers. The Nike Air Max 1 “Original Colorway” Retros seen here feature the OG red and blue versions and are available now at select retailers as a Quickstrike drop.

In 1987, Nike debuted a shoe that would forever change footwear. Designed for runners in need of maximum cushioning and stability, the Air Max 1 featured the largest air sole unit to date. For Tinker Hatfield and Nike Design the challenge was not only to build the best Air shoe of its age but also to allow athletes to understand what they were getting when they chose to run on Nike Air.

The Nike Air Max 1 represented a new generation of athletic footwear, breaking from the tradition of the way a sneaker was supposed to look like. By color choice alone, the Air Max 1 was unlike anything else on the market. The Air Max 1 introduced a Sport Red color rand that wrapped the AM1’s upper, radically challenging the aesthetic norm of the age, which called for athletic footwear to be neutral colored and mundane. The Air Max 1 not only started a revolution in Air, but equally important, a revolution in color.

Back in February, we previewed the Nike Women’s Fall 2009 Collection of Nike Air Max 1’s that follows a similar theme to the Men’s pack that will be releasing soon. The inspiration for these Nike Women’s Air Max 1’s came from Nike’s notorious, Safari print, which is seen on the upper of all four of these Nike Women’s Air Max 1’s. All four use a monochromatic color blocking scheme on the shoes, the four different colors include, Black, White, Red, and Purple. Available now at select Nike Sportswear retailers.
