Sneakerfriends Party 2008 Atlanta

Thursday night (April 24th) was the 3rd Annual Sneakerfriends party hosted by ATL’s own Greg Street. This year was full of sneakers and fun at the Fox Theatre. Thanks to all the A-Town heads and everyone else that attended the event. This year crushed last year’s Sneakerfriends party and it was also better than the 2006 party. Tons of pics available for your viewing pleasure.

Bern Showcase Titolo Sports

On the 2nd of November 2007, some of switzerland sneakerheads (yes, there are some) were invited to take part at a sneaker-apèro organised by pocoloco productions and Titolo in Bern - Switzerland. We had the opportunity to take a look at some of the upcoming releases from Reebok, Asics, Puma, Adidas and JB Classics and on the side, we had a very nice Nike display with the usual suspects such as rare Nike Air Max 87´s, Nike Air Force One´s and so on. I guess it’s unnecessary to say that we had a great time, and we like to thank pocoloco-productions and the crew of the Titolo Sneaker Store for this opportunity. Here are some preview pictures.

Nike Dunk Hi Hemp x Crooked Tongues BBQ

It looks like the Crooked Tongues crew and members are having a great time down in Thailand. Along with alot of parties and beautiful beaches, there are a handful of great exclusive sneakers made for the event. We have already seen some Nike Air Force One´s iD made for the celebration, but the Nike Dunk Hi wanted to join in the fun as well.

Nike cooked up a Nike Dunk Hi Hemp with premium leather, brown side wall, and gum outsole. Nike branded the shoes with the famous isometric Crooked Tongues logo on the rear panel. Big thanks to kookies.net who got to join in on the fun as well as get some nice kicks.

Nike “RE-RUN Exhibition” in Los Angeles

Nike Re-Run Exhibition in Los Angeles

Downtown L.A embraced running fever on Friday August 10th as Nike unveiled RE-RUN, a contemporary installation of old-school Nike images blended with photography, graphic design and works from the likes of up and coming contemporary artists including Scott Campbell, Tracy Nakayama, Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Kime Buzzelli, Steven Harrington, Jesse Spears, and Keith Scharwath. As guests indulged in free Nike give-aways (T-shirts, pins, stickers, poster art), DJ Free Simon set the scene with some classic tracks, and curator Aaron Rose spilled the beans on the art show’s inspirations and influences…

“Its probably been around six months since I started working on the ‘Re-Run’ project which was based on this 70’s book I have called ‘Build Your Own Living Structures.’ Apart from creating the installation, I guess working with the artists on concepts, doing the fake ‘70s playboy-style photographs and designing all of the graphics was the fun part. Plus I got to go into the Nike archives (which few people gain access to) where I pulled shoes, photos, etc to put in the show. Those people in the archives are great. They’ve been around the company since the beginning, so they know everyone and everything. They showed me so much good stuff. It was a rad history lesson for sure.”

The RE-RUN exhibit travels across America, making the next two stops in Portland, then Miami.

Nike Air Force 1 25th Anniversary Party South Africa

The best parties for the year are some of the Nike Air Force One and as one of the most famous sneaker hits a less significant spot of Johannesburg in South Africa there is nothing insignificant about the party. The people in Johannesburg sure know how to party and celebrate a major milestone in sneaker history if the pics are anything to go by.

Nike Air Jordan 4 “Fat Joe” Exclusive

Nike Air Jordan 4 Fat Joe Exclusive

Last weekend in Miami was bananas. Saturday night Mi Gente put on “Battle of the Jordans Part 2″ which saw some insane Air Jordans on people’s feet in the crowd and amongst the people on stage.

Fat Joe made an appearance strolling through wearing a pair of Jordans that no one could touch. As usual, Fat Joe crushed everyone with some exclusive sneakers.

With a little help from Derek Anderson, aka Da Loyal 1, Joe had some white/red Jordan 4 PEs that were new to everyone in attendance. On top of the beautiful colorway, the shoes were lasered just for Joe with a touch of love from Miami.
