Nike Cortez Vintage Blue and Green

Originally released in 1972. the Nike Cortez Nylon was the result of Nike Co-founder, Bill Bowerman, pushing his Japanese partners to experiment with nylon material. At the time, running shoes were made from either leather or canvas and the new nylon based kicks offered an unprecedented level of durability and comfort.

The Nike Cortez “Vintage” is one of the few classic silhouettes from Nike’s “pre-AIR” era that is still in production and still immensely popular. These vintage treated nylon’s are part of Nike’s extensive vintage campaign, providing aged sneakers for those want the look but can’t wait the time. To find out more about the company’s rich running heritage and vintage line, head over to Nike Vintage Running.

Those will be available in May.
