Nike Dunk Hi Supreme TZ Alife Rivington Club

In case you are not a regular in New York’s Lower East Side, that’s ALIFE’s A.R.C. Sports storefront at 157 Rivington St. The somewhat Supreme-like script in the window is a reminder that this Saturday, August 1st will see the launch of the Nike Dunk High Supreme TZ “Alife Rivington Club”. These have a dope mix of black suede and a tonal check pattern on the upper, accented with a white Swoosh and A.R.C. circular insignia on the rear quarter. Last but certainly not least is the 0.44 Sticky Rubber outsole in a delicious gum hue. ALIFE will have a free ‘Black, White, Gum & Bang!’ tee for the first 100 buyers and then some to sell after that. The shoe drops at 2pm, followed by a party at A.R.C.’s courtyard at 3. They will see an ‘extended’ release at other Tier Zero retailers soon thereafter.

Nike Dunk SB Low “Ron Burgundy” Anchorman

Nike Dunk SB Low Ron Burgundy Anchorman

We gave you a peek at this upcoming Nike SB Dunk release, but at the time, the inspiration behind the shoe had still not been revealed. Now it appears that these kicks have been created to pay tribute to Will Ferrell’s beloved character from the 2004 comedy, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. The Red suede upper is a nod to Burgundy’s name and his sweet newsman anchor suit. The pattern that appears on the tongue and around the ankle could perhaps be based on the lining that might be found inside a funky 70’s suit. Additional accents are provided by a White midsole and toe box and some splashes of Gold and Tan. These are expected to hit Nike SB accounts in August.

Nike Dunk SB Low “Un-Hemp” Orange - Holiday 2009

Nike Dunk SB Low Un-Hemp Orange Holiday 2009

Today we got a look at an exciting new Hemp Dunk SB model that is apparently waiting in the wings for a release later this year. The original “Hemp” Dunks from 2004 are now regarded as classics and with five years passing since their release, it seems like as good a time as any to bring the concept back for more. This version gets a little more complicated than the originals, which sported the hemp material on the shoe’s entire upper. This version throws in more additional accent colors and also breaks up the color blocking with a combination of orange suede and hemp on the upper. These kicks also feature an orange midsole, as well as a black Swoosh and some splashes of brown and red on various sections of the shoe, including the spotted lining. These are currently slated for a Holiday 2009 release, so we will be sure to keep you up on the latest info regarding this eagerly anticipated drop.

Nike Dunk SB Low “Iron Man Sample”

Nike Dunk SB Low Iron Man Sample

Rumor is that this Nike Dunk SB model was inspired by last summer’s superhero blockbuster “Iron Man” and was possibly intended for a summer release to coincide with the opening of the movie. Obviously, for whatever reasons, that never happened, but now we get a look at what could have been. Images of this sample version have recently emerged, and as you can see, while the kicks do sport Iron Man’s trademark red and gold, a healthy dose of black leather was also used on the upper to tone down the look some. As far as we know, there are no plans to ever release these, but with an Iron Man sequel currently in the works, Nike SB will certainly get a second chance to make them relevant, so we will let you know if they decide to drop the Iron Man Dunks after all.

Nike Dunk SB Low “Yellow Lobster” Concepts

Nike Dunk SB Low Yellow Lobster Concepts

About one in two million lobsters is blue due to a genetic defect that results in excessive protein production. Given their rarity and how hard it was to get a pair of Blue Lobsters, the Yellow Lobster might be even rarer. Appearing in nature at odds of 1 to 30 million, the yellow lobster looks to be the inspiration for Concepts’ latest collaboration with Nike SB.

At Saturday’s launch of the Concepts x Nike Dunk SB Low “Blue Lobster”, CNCPTS owner Tarik Hassan was spotted rocking a yellow makeup of the Lobster design. Rumour has it that these were limited to 36 pairs, with the tiny lot given to friends, family and some lucky folks in line. Make sure to stick with NewKicksOnTheBlog for clarification and updates, as this is sure to be a hot topic for a good while.
