Nike Sportswear keeps pumping out the goodies, most recently with a special Air Max One celebrating the success of famous Asian actor and singing star Jay Chou who owns the PHANTACi store in Taiwan. The special pack Nike has put together for Jay Chou is being dubbed “The Grand” modeled after a grand piano, and features a unique Nike Air Max 1 along with a leather jacket. The Nike Air Max Ones in this pack an upper that takes cues from ivory piano keys with a clean white upper featuring black and white laces and gold on the heel along with an insole featuring a piano keyboard. The pink noticeable on the Swoosh, sole and velour-looking inner-ankle area is a color used generously by Jay at his PHANTACi store. The leather jacket seems like it is made of high quality leather featuring images of piano keys. As usual stay tuned for more info.

Although the pics are surfacing just as the holiday buying season begins and the colors evoke a Christmas theme, these Nike Dunk SB Hi Premium aren’t affiliated with St. Nick. Instead, they’re releasing around next Easter, April 9, 2008 according to SneakerNews, who’ve dubbed these “Soda Cup“. They posted the pic on their blog along with this release date so that we can all get excited. The rich red upper has suede on the toe and rear panel/wing and perforated leather toebox, tongue, side panel and sole. A white swoosh, heel and midsole, green laces and brown lining give all that red a nice balance. We will keep you posted as more pics surface.

Nike Skateboarding made Nike Dunks for Marge and Homer Simpson, what’s to say they aren’t going to do the same for Family Guy. Here is a new pair of Premium SBs slated for 2009 release that bare the name “Quagmire” because the rear panel/wing and side panel are a bright red with yellow embroidered stars just like the shirt worn by the sex-crazed character on Fox. At first glance, this might look like a patriotic pack, so we’ll keep an eye on these to see exactly when the Nike Dunk SB Hi Premium “Quagmire” drop.

One of the shoes we didn’t show you in the Nike SB November 2008 Collection is this Nike Dunk SB Low Premium “Mosquito” that comes in Vanilla, Vermillon Red, and Black Frost featuring a dope speckeled midsole not to mention an insole that has a mosquito on it. Although at this time we’re not quite sure where the story or inspiration for this shoe started from, it’s still a dope Nike Dunk SB Low that offers up some new vibrant colors that we most likely wouldn’t see from other footwear departments in Nike. One of the other parts of this shoe is the contrast stitching on the Dunk Low’s upper that brings back memories of some Nike Dunk SB Low classics.

Here is a new Nike Dunk Mid SB that is sure to have some hype built behind it. These feature an elegant design on the rear quarter and strap, black leather on the heel, side and toebox, a white leather toe and laces. The laces say “Kevlar”, so they are likely made of the bulletproof material. We are not sure yet if these are an Asia exclusive, but we will keep you posted.

Nike will be releasing the Nike Air Max 1 in a very vivid colorway for the women. I’m sure you men will be checking for these as well.
This Nike Air Max 1 features an upper full of colors including alabaster, dragon red, purple, and pink. The cream-colored midsole complements the sneaker very nicely.
This is definitely one of the most colorful sneakers we have seen in a while. Expect to turn a lot of heads wearing these.

DJ Clark Kent was fitted up with these rare, possibly one-of-a-kind kicks last night at the Nike Sportswear shop on Mercer St. They take on the uppers of the now classic Nike Dunk Low Supreme and add it to an Nike Air Force 1 sole. The result, well leaves most of us with are jaws still dropped and drooling.
No word on production numbers, but these are definitely nothing short of exclusive, maybe even exclusive to DJ Clark Kent’s closet. The more important question than if these are going to come out (we know Clark likes his 1 of 1’s), is what other madness is lying around in this man’s closet?!

In observance of the 2008 BET Hip Hop Awards, Nike has joined forces with BET to create an exclusive colorway of the Nike Air Force 1.
This style features the Hip Hop Awards ‘08 logo on the heel and a BET “dubre” on the laces. It also has ‘08‘ in red numerals on the tongue. The colorway is made up of a grey crushed patent leather with accents of varsity blue, red and white.
