The Nike Air Jordan 1 Low Phat “Black/Varsity Red/Cement Grey” will drop on September 27th, 2008. Jordan Brand has utilized its elephant print and colors from the Nike Air Jordan III for this shoe. This new “Phat” model pays tribute to Jordan Brand’s past as a skate shoe. Many people used the Nike Air Jordan I as a skate shoe when other options were scarce in the 80’s. For a more comfortable fit, Nike Air Jordan I Phat Low possesses new features in the form of a padded tongue and inner lining.

Though these sneakers publicly hit stores this Saturday. This sneaker, along with the other colorways, should impact the shoe market big.

Nike Air Jordan 1 Hi Doernbecher Freestyle Mr.Boober

Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been working with Nike every year to help raise money to fund research and basic operations. Every year as you all know five shoes from the Doernbacher series drop and the money from those sales are contributed to the hospital. These were designed by Tony Taylor Jr., nicknamed Mr. Boober, who battled Nephrotic Syndrome and underwent a successful kidney transplant at the hospital.

Jayson Mayden and Estelle Maranan guided Tony with his vision of the project and the inspirations took inspiration from the very experiences of his life.

These are the second Nike Air Jordans to be part of the Doernbecher Freestyle project. Last year we saw the Nike Air Jordan 2 “Doernbecher”.

This shoe will release November 14th along with four other Doernbecher children designed shoes.
