A lot of you have probably been anxiously awaiting this Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid colorway ever since we gave you a sneak peek. The first version of the shoe in the White/Volt color scheme was a big hit and this one will likely follow suit. The shoe uses a Black/White upper with Rave Pink and Pure Purple accents, multi-colored graphics on the heel and several key elements of original Nike Air Tech Challenge designs popping up in various places. If you are one of the many who have been waiting on these, you can finally find them at select Nike retailers.

The Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid has been one of the best hybrid shoes released by Nike, the first colorway has definitely been a huge hit amongst a number of sneakerheads who list the Nike Air Tech Challenge series of Nike shoes as their favorites. Now here is a look at the second colorway of the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid that will be released in the upcoming months. This colorway sticks to a similar color blocking scheme as the first one only to flip the colors a bit to include more Black and Purple. From what it looks like, the Black used on the shoe will be made up of nubuck which is always a favorite. Look for these to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers in the upcoming months.

If you are totally sick of Nike hybrid models by now, you may want to look away, but don’t be so quick to dismiss these until you take a closer look. Tennis great, Andre Agassi’s shoe, the Nike Air Tech Challenge was one of Nike’s hottest models back in the late 80’s and early 90’s and was even embraced by those with no appreciation whatsoever for tennis. There were four Nike Air Tech Challenge models released between 1989 and 1992 and now the most recognizable attributes of each have all been combined into one shoe that pays homage to the entire line (the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid features design elements from the Air Tech Challenge 1, Air Tech Challenge II, Air Tech Challenge III, Air Tech Challenge IV, and the Nike Air Flare).

Taking elements from all three series of the Nike Air Tech Challenge, Nike introduces the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid. Made popular by tennis legend Andre Agassi in the ’90s, the kicks feature Nike’s trademark air technology alongside a nostalgic old school colorway reminiscent of the fourth series Nike Air Tech Challenge model. The shoes are expected to be a 2009 release, stay tuned for more info in the coming months.
