Turns out, the metal hook eyelet at midfoot is just a design element on the Nike Air Max 90 Current “Ben Drury”. They keep the boot laces and look like they would perform pretty well with a mesh toebox and perforated suede on the rear. British designer Ben Drury teamed up with rapper/producer Dizzee Rascal to collaborate on a classic, the Nike Air Max 90.

We only have a sneak peek at the Nike Air Max 90 “Ben Drury x Dizzee Rascal”, but it’s just enough to let us get us hyped. Not only does the outsole have a clear portion on on the heel, but the portion of the midsole surrounding the Air unit in the heel has a translucent overlay. Coloring seems to be a simple tonal grey, on top of the grey and white midsole, but we will have to wait and see how these turn out.
