Nike Dunk SB Low Goofy Boy

During the Spring of 2009 Nike SB is set to release a Nike Dunk Low SB tribute to the old Goofy Boy skater style. The Goofy Boys of the early 90s typically wore extremely long colored denim shorts with a equally long colored T-Shirt and a flipped up brim hat. Bringing that flavor to the Nike Dunk SB Low, the Nike Dunk SB Low “Goofy Boy” features a Purple denim trimmed upper with Orange nubuck at the toebox, mid panel, heel, and tongue. An illustration of a Goofy Boy appears on the footbed as well.

Nike Dunk SB Low “Charcoal/Red”

Nike Dunk SB Low Charcoal/Red

With the number of Nike Dunk SB’s that have been released, it seems that the color combination’s would have run out by now, but Nike seems to always have a little something new up their sleeves. This 2009 Dunk from Nike Skateboarding has surfaced, the Nike SB Dunk Low “Charcoal/Red”.

This drop might have Nike SB back on track, it’s a simple colorway featuring charcoal, and a red swoosh, but what really catches my eye is the other material on the upper, a dark safari-like print really offsets the charcoal and red in a nice way.

Just when you thought the Nike Dunk SB was headed for retirement, Nike Skateboarding drops some heat.

Nike Dunk SB Hi “Heavens Gate” Sample

Nike Dunk SB Hi Heavens Gate Sample

The Nike SB group of designers must have a tough time getting various shoes into retail doors, first it was the Nike Dunk SB Low “Freddy Krueger” and now it’s this Nike Dunk SB Hi “Heaven’s Gate” that have made their way to the sampling stage but not product shelf. This Nike Dunk Hi Pro SB was inspired by “Heaven’s Gate“, a religious group that is best known for committing mass suicide in 1997, where 38 members were found dead all wearing the same exact outfits which happened to include a brand new pair of Nike shoes on each of the member’s feet. The Nike SB team decided to take various points of inspiration from the religious group and apply it to this Nike Dunk Hi but it seems various powers to be at Nike may have shut the project down as the shoes never hit Nike SB retailers in the Fall 2008 season like they were supposed to.

Nike Dunk SB Hi Premium Quagmire

Nike Skateboarding made Nike Dunks for Marge and Homer Simpson, what’s to say they aren’t going to do the same for Family Guy. Here is a new pair of Premium SBs slated for 2009 release that bare the name “Quagmire” because the rear panel/wing and side panel are a bright red with yellow embroidered stars just like the shirt worn by the sex-crazed character on Fox. At first glance, this might look like a patriotic pack, so we’ll keep an eye on these to see exactly when the Nike Dunk SB Hi Premium “Quagmire” drop.

Nike Dunk SB Low Melbourne

We got some new pics of the Nike Dunk SB Low “Melbourne”. This Nike SB dunk pays homage to a famous skate spot in Melbourne called the Flinders Street Station. “I’ll meet you under the clocks” is a saying that as been heard for years in Melbourne. The saying refers to the clocks on this train station, which is at the intersection of two of the city’s busiest thoroughfares. The colors of this Nike Dunk SB are inspired by the city of Melbourne, Port Philip Bay, and the Yarra river.

A combination of canvas, suede, and mesh materials in a simple colorway like this will definitely be a hot item. It is set to release in October, so check with your local skate shop, get your name on a list, do what you gotta do, to get your hands on these because they won’t stay on the shelves for long.
