Nike Dunk SB Low “Yellow Lobster” Concepts

Nike Dunk SB Low Yellow Lobster Concepts

About one in two million lobsters is blue due to a genetic defect that results in excessive protein production. Given their rarity and how hard it was to get a pair of Blue Lobsters, the Yellow Lobster might be even rarer. Appearing in nature at odds of 1 to 30 million, the yellow lobster looks to be the inspiration for Concepts’ latest collaboration with Nike SB.

At Saturday’s launch of the Concepts x Nike Dunk SB Low “Blue Lobster”, CNCPTS owner Tarik Hassan was spotted rocking a yellow makeup of the Lobster design. Rumour has it that these were limited to 36 pairs, with the tiny lot given to friends, family and some lucky folks in line. Make sure to stick with NewKicksOnTheBlog for clarification and updates, as this is sure to be a hot topic for a good while.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Bespoke of the Week

We have recently shown you a number of impressive Nike Air Force 1’s “Bespoke” that have been created by a variety of sneakerheads and the trend of late has seemed to be Elephant Skin. Here is a nice refreshing edition of the Nike Air Force 1 that somehow manages to look fresh with no Elephant print at all. These kicks use some very interesting material choices like red suede, a denim Swoosh and what appears to be a canvas tongue. Add to that some croc skin on the heel tab and tongue label and some bright orange accents and you have a pretty interesting specimen. The final touches are provided by a transparent white midsole and a gum outsole. You can check out some more pics by checking out that link, and to create your own Nike Air Force 1’s “Bespoke”, get over to the NSW 21 Mercer store to make an appointment.

Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium Un Michael Lau

Nike will be releasing this upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium as a part of the Fall 2009 Collection from Nike Sportswear. While the colorway is simple, White upper and Gum outsole, it’s the pattern stitched on the upper that makes this White Air Force 1 so appealing. We are dubbing this Nike Air Force 1 Low the “Un Michael Lau” due to the astounding resemblance to the Nike Air Force 1 x Michael Lau 1World “Crazy”. The upper of this Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium “Un Michael Lau” features a intricate woven pattern that looks similar to the one used on the Nike Air Force 1 “Michael Lau”. The Gum outsole used on this Nike Air Force 1 should be well received by a number of Nike Air Force 1 fans as that is something that is always asked for. Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 Low “Black/Mean Green”

Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 Low Black/Mean Green

In general, many of Nike’s latest Air Force 1 models have taken a back-to-basics approach, using simple white uppers with minimal accents. This model, however, has chosen to liven things back up a little with some bright eye-grabbing color. You may have seen the Nike Air Force 1 x Huarache that also features a similar color scheme, but these switch up the color blocking a bit. The shoe uses a simple black leather upper with a white midsole, lining and laces. Vibrant Mean Green accents on the Swoosh and outsole provide strong contrast against the black/white base and hints of royal blue can be found on the tongue label and the midsole “AIR” logo. Like the Air Max Light that we showed you earlier, this colorway is available now at selected Nike accounts.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “1World CLOT”

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 | Posted in Air Force 1, Release Dates, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Force 1 Low 1World CLOT

Its finally Asia’s turn to shine as part of the Nike 1World Air Force 1 campaign and just in time for the Chinese New Year. The collaboration is with Hong Kong based CLOT who has applied their stylistic twist of the Nike Air Force 1 Low. The overall theme for the sneaker is base of the traditional wishes during the New Year which is luck, happiness and prosperity. The upper of the Nike Air Force 1 Low is made from red Clot Royale Deluxe Silk, the most recognizable Chinese-made textile, with embroidered trademark Clot graphics inspired by thousand-year-old Chinese prints. Additionally the red upper-shoe top layer can actually be peeled, burned or torn off to reveal a bottom layer made from dark brown leather. Clot’s trademark Chinese-print graphics, as embroidered onto the silk upper layer, are lasered onto this durable leather layer.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” comes in a special “Chinese Candy Box” packaging set. Traditionally, Lunar New Year celebrations include offering sweets and other edible treats from a red lacquer box to ensure a “sweet” year. Honoring this custom, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” packaging is a hexagonal red box with a partitioned tray layer, to hold shoe accessories, and matching lid. The box’s exterior is adorned with Clot graphics in black.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Clot” will be available on January 16, 2009.
