Nike Air Max 1 Blazer Terminator Mid-Autumn Festival Pack

Nike will be releasing a Mid-Autumn Festival Pack of sneakers consisting of three sneakers, an Nike Air Max 1 Supreme, Nike Blazer Mid and Nike Terminator Hi. The pack looks to celebrate the Chinese holiday known as the Mid-Autumn Festival. The pack of shoes come in Dark Red and Gold as the color inspiration came from mooncake packaging, traditionally the Chinese people will eat mooncakes during the festival. Some additional details on the shoes include various embossed and debossed imagery including the chrysanthemum flower and a hare, both of which are related to the Mid-Autumn Festival. Unfortunately for those of us here in the US, this pack of sneakers is limited to China only.

Nike’s Olympic inspired models have consistently made it into the headlines of Air Max 1’s entitled the Nike Air Max 1 “Olympic Perforated Metal Pack”. This package features a perforated leather upper in two distinct colorways, gold and silver. Furthermore, the two Nike Air Max 1’s get a bit of a boost with the white mid-sole and clear air-sole, a perfect addition to the sleek colorway. Nike Trainer Dunk Hi + Court Force Low Chinese Ceramics Pack

Nike Asia has just released a Nike Trainer Dunk Hi and a Nike Court Force Low as part of a Chinese Ceramics inspired pack of sneakers. Both sneakers uses ornate designs and colors known commonly as “blue and white wares” which is white pottery and porcelain decorated under the glaze with a blue pigment, generally cobalt oxide. The decoration is commonly applied by hand, by stencilling or by transfer-printing, though other methods of application have also been used. [Wikipedia] Utilizing white patent leather and blue colored ornate graphics, these two sneakers can easily be mistaken for “blue and white wares” from the Qing Dynasty. Available now at select shops in Asia.
