Nike Air Max Retro “Fall 2009 Preview”

Nike Air Max Retro Fall 2009 Preview

Nike’s Fall 2009 retro Air Max line look pretty nice with solid colors for a number of the classics. The Nike Air Classic BW will make a nice come back with two colorways inspired by the Nike Air Safari 87 and utilizing a small amount of the Safari Pattern. The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 comes in two flavors as well and in nice Fall colors and nice patterns. A surprised is the Nike Air 180 Aquamarine colorway’s return, but this would be nearly 3 years since the 3 Decades of Cushioning release. A sure hit will be the Nike Air Max 1 in a purple safari colorway which has hints of the Nike Air Max 1 “Viotech” for several years back.

Nike Air Digs Womens Retro “White/Grey/Pink”

Nike Air Digs Womens Retro White/Grey/Pink

Nike hits up the retro vault for the ladies with the Miami Vice colored Nike Womens Air Digs retro that would make Sonny and Crockett proud.

The Nike Air Digs may look Miami styled as far as color goes, but it’s more performance oriented than Gabby Reece on court. The early 90’s styling inspiration, of other classics like the Nike Air Trainer, is easily recognizable on these volleyball kicks. The mesh paneling has that throwback feel, and on top of that the indoor court performance is maximized with the gum sole treatment.

Even Gabby Reece in her on court heydays would agree these may be called digs, but these kicks definitely kill.

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid “Hare” 2009 Release

Monday, December 15th, 2008 | Posted in Air Jordan, Sneaker News, Sneakers

Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Mid Hare 2009 Release

The nice treatment the Nike Air Jordan I (1) has been receiving from the designers at Jordan Brand will continue well into 2009. News just broke of an Nike Air Jordan Retro I “Hare” to be released during the spring of 2009. Just in case you don’t remember, the “Hare” nickname comes from 1992 when the Air Jordan VII was advertised in commercials featuring Michael Jordan along with Bugs Bunny. In the commercial, Bugs Bunny differentiates between “Air Jordan” (MJ) and “Hare Jordan” (The Shoes).

While the preliminary catalog images of the Nike Air Jordan I featuring the “Hare” treatment don’t reveal too many details, we can get a fairly good impression of the two colorways along with some of the design additions. One pair will come in stealth/black-light silver-pink clay-white while the other will be featured in a white/light silver-true red colorway. Other than the colorways, we can see that the “Hare” version of the Nike Air Jordan Jumpman will be located on each tongue, surrounded by a design similar to what we have seen on the Air Jordan VII. Look for these to drop as a Quickstrike release set for April, 2009 (maybe around Easter considering the bunny?).

Nike Big Nike Hi Retro “Red/Black/White”

Nike Big Nike Hi Retro Red/Black/White

While we have seen a ton of previews for what may be dropping from Nike next year, we haven’t seen too many new models (or lesser seen models) that are scheduled to drop. That will change, however, with the re-issue of the Nike Big Nike Hi, which hasn’t been released since the 1980’s. The Nike Big Nike Hi is a shoe that is sort of a mix between the Nike Terminator and the Nike Dunk, which makes a great looking shoe. The shoe we see above is a sample pair of a Nike Big Nike High that appears to be in a red/black-white colorway with a gum sole. The lower part of the heel area on the upper features “NIKE” printed in capital letters, similar to what you might see on a Terminator. These shoes aren’t due out until the Spring of 2009, but you can pick them up now on eBay.

Nike Air Force 3 Hi Retro Denver Nuggets

Two months ago, we showed you a retro Charlotte Hornets colorway of the Nike Air Force III, and many of you loved the design. We have now spotted the Nike Air Force III in the most colorful NBA colorway ever! If you are too young to remember, these throwback colors were worn by the Nuggets from 1982-93 (see Alex English).

The upper features every color you have seen in the rainbow. It contains a yellow shoelaces, a red swoosh, and every other color in the crayon box on the heel. We are still searching for that leprechaun with a pot of gold that comes with this pair. It also features a black-speckled midsole. Along with the Charlotte Hornets retro colorway, this multi-colored sneaker was released to select House of Hoops stores.
