Nike Dunk SB Low Off Bug Sample

There is a growing category of dope Nike Dunk SB Low´s that catch our eyes and pockets with leaked photos, but never make it to retail shelved for one reason or another. The Nike Dunk above is the original design of the Nike Dunk SB Low Mosquito, but after an extremely limited production run, the shoe didn’t make, most likely due to some sort of legal issue. Obviously, this version is very different compared to the recently released Mosquito dunk, which has a range of materials from a speckled mid-sole, perforated leather and 3M. The above version consists only of leather and buttery suede. These might wind up on Ebay at some point in time, but you will never see these on retail shelves.

Nike Dunk SB Hi “Heavens Gate” Sample

Nike Dunk SB Hi Heavens Gate Sample

The Nike SB group of designers must have a tough time getting various shoes into retail doors, first it was the Nike Dunk SB Low “Freddy Krueger” and now it’s this Nike Dunk SB Hi “Heaven’s Gate” that have made their way to the sampling stage but not product shelf. This Nike Dunk Hi Pro SB was inspired by “Heaven’s Gate“, a religious group that is best known for committing mass suicide in 1997, where 38 members were found dead all wearing the same exact outfits which happened to include a brand new pair of Nike shoes on each of the member’s feet. The Nike SB team decided to take various points of inspiration from the religious group and apply it to this Nike Dunk Hi but it seems various powers to be at Nike may have shut the project down as the shoes never hit Nike SB retailers in the Fall 2008 season like they were supposed to.

Nike Dunk Hi “3M Woven” Sample

Nike Dunk Hi 3M Woven Sample

Woven design hasn’t been in use on Nike sneakers in a while except for the recent Asia exclusive Nike Footscape “Dragon Boat” and Nike Air Woven. This Nike Dunk Hi is an upcoming sample that features a woven design. The sneaker features a light grey suede on most of the upper, white is use on the midsole, black laces and a black outsole round out the sneaker. The interesting element is of course the woven aspects on the side-panels and on the toebox. Even more interesting are 3M strands woven into the design and at certain lighting conditions they shine a little giving the sneaker just a bit of dimension. No word on an actual release date.

Nike Air Max 90 Premium Sample “Kaws”

Nike Air Max 90 Premium Sample Kaws

Kaws definitely has the magic touch these days. Fresh off of his Nike Air Force 1´s “1World” success, it seems he is already working on yet another collaboration with Nike, this time a very clean colorway of the Nike Air Max 90. Coming in a white and volt colorway, these Nike Air Maxes would be a little on the unremarkable side were it not for the signature Kaws X’s being the dominating theme of these shoes. Especially noticeable on the toebox stitching, the X motif is definitely pretty strong on these kicks, even appearing on the lacelocks. There’s no word on a firm release yet, especially due to the fact that these are currently still in sample form; however, should they see release, expect popularity compared to everything else that Kaws graces with his artistic vision.
