This year is the 23rd anniversary of the initial release of the Nike Air Jordan III and we have seen or will see three of the four original colorways hit retail along with several new looks, but one that is grabbing some attention despite a doubtful retail status is the above pictured Oregon Ducks exclusive. These UO PE Nike Air Jordan III s are the same as Dennis Dixon’s and thanks to this arrangement, we can probably assume that a similar web-toed insignia takes the Jumpman’s place on the black away edition as well. Could college branded Player Editions finally extend their reach into Jordan Brand’s archives? If so, it’d have to be the Ducks or Tar Heels to earn the first honors. Last Holiday season Nike Sportswear unveiled the Nike ACG Bakin Posite Boot, a street/trail hybrid shoe which combined a Foamposite upper with a Max Air outsole. Of course that wasn’t the first sneaker to feature both Foam and Max that title goes to one of Tim Duncan’s signature shoes - the Nike Total Air Foamposite Max. The Metallic Silver colorway was one of the originals from when the Nike Total Air Foamposite Max debuted back in 1998, and here it returns again for a Holiday 2011 release. We tend to approach with apprehension, whenever we see a sick new colorway of the Nike LeBron shoe. Why? Well, you don’t want to fall in love with a shoe that might be unattainable, and as we have seen with the Nike LeBron line, particularly with the Nike Air Max LeBron VII and the Nike LeBron 8, a good chunk of the widely-praised colorway just never seem to release.

The Nike LeBron 9 China and it’s seemingly Knicks/CLE HWC colorway was an instant hit, and here we finally have a detailed look at this upcoming Nike LeBron 9 colorway; the outsole is a translucent light blue, and the tongue and lace harness at the midfoot appear to picture an anime-style graphic of some sort - possibly that of a dragon, considering 2012 is the Year of the Dragon according to the traditional Chinese Zodiac.
