Nike Air Jordan VI Dark Knight Customs Sneaker

Back in 1992 Nike created a special pair of Nike Air Jordan VI footwear for the Dark Knight as the unique design seemed to match Batman’s suit. Of course, the Nike Air Jordan VI Batman never released, though it is one of the coolest artifacts in Nike’s history. PH23Customs recently completed a custom pair of Nike Air Jordan VI s with the Dark Knight in mind using the Nike Air Jordan VI Oreo as the base, PH23 blacked out the white leather upper and astutely colored a few sections with a dark navy blue, like the Jumpman on the tongue, the midsole, and the stripe on the spoiler on the heel.

Nike Air Jordan VII For the Love of the Game Promo Sample Sneaker

It was just about fourteen months ago that Jordan Brand set fire to the new Atmos NYC location by unveiling a lasered University Blue Nike Air Jordan Legacy collection in conjunction with the launch of the Nike Air Jordan IX and Nike Air Jordan VII For the Love of the Game. The UNC-styled Nike Air Jordan IX and Olympic remixing FTLOTG Nike Air Jordan VII were instant sellouts and though you would have to put your money on the same result if the baby blue Nike Air Jordan Retros were released, they are probably just going to remain a fantasy for everyone outside Nike Inc’s Beaverton, Oregon campus. In fact, if a pair ever does slip through Jordan Brand’s grasp, you still probably won’t be able to get one, because guys like longtime eBay PowerSeller thecoolshoeshine who was able to get a US men’s size 11 promo sample, won’t be parting with it any time soon. Let us know which of the Nike Air Jordan Legacy collections you would most like to buy one day.

Nike Dunk High Nightmare Customs by Diversitile

Nike Dunk High Nightmare Customs by Diversitile Sneaker

During a 2011 when the biggest trend in custom sneakers has been stealing colorways and applying them to new models, Diversitile’s work remains a level above. This latest handcrafted design is the closest he’s come to an outright copy of something Nike had already issued, this new Nike Dunk High Nightmare is inspired by the same dream inhabiting serial killer who inspired the unreleased Nike Dunk Low SB Freddy Krueger. This hightop is considerably more graphic in its application of Wes Craven’s scissorhanded maniac, key elements including a razor-edged Swoosh that cause blood all over the side panels plus a toebox matching Freddy’s facial deformities. The level of detail here is on par with Diversitile’s other standouts including the Bumblebee and Child’s Play Nike Dunk Highs which is his best film inspired fan fiction? Nike Air Jordan X Chicago

Nike Air Jordan X Chicago Sneaker

Tinker Hatfield decided to use the Nike Air Jordan X as an homage to Michael Jordan’s career to that point. One of the more prominent details of the tenth Nike Air Jordan shoe is actually the outsole, which features a list of Michael Jordan’s career achievements in chronological order, starting with his Rookie Of The Year award in 1985 to the three straight MVP/Championships in 91, 92, and 93. If Tinker Hatfield were to create another shoe pointing out Michael Jordan’s all-time achievements, what would be added? How about 2003 - 40 points at 40 or 2010 - Team Owner? Here is a detailed look at the upcoming Nike Air Jordan X Chicago, slated for a January 2012 release. Likely to be one of the best retro releases of 2012, the Chicago Nike Air Jordan X is one to watch on NewKicksOnTheBlog.

Nike Air Huarache White Royal Purple Black Sneaker

The Nike Air Huarache White Royal Purple Black takes a design element that would merely been hinted at by the 2K series and makes it a reality with the first basketball specific Free sole attached to a model based on classic Nike Air Huarache styling. This white leather look with royal, purple and black accents is a bit of a throwback too.

Let us know which of 2012’s Nike Air Huarache releases you are most excited to own.

Nike LeBron 9 Pre Heat Cannon Volt Slate Blue Team Orange 469764-004 Sneaker

The China colorway has traditionally been the first LeBron colorway to release for each signature model, but thanks to LeBron’s relocation from Cleveland to Miami, a new annual tradition has risen. Last year’s Pre Heat colorway of the LeBron signature shoe, commonly referred to as the South Beach, featured the dazzling hot pink and turquoise blue colorway, but this year’s Pre Heat will be the Cannon colorway, inspired by the Air Force Base where the Miami Heat have trained during the off-season. The Nike LeBron 9 Pre Heat has already hit stores overseas, but will officially hit the states this Sunday, October 9th, at select retailers in Miami and again on November 11th to wider audiences.

Keep these dates circled on your calendar because they are about to drop soon.

Nike SB Dunk Mid Supreme Customs

Nike SB Dunk Mid Supreme Customs Sneaker

Sneakerhead culture is wrought with simulacra and symbolic appropriation, this latest Nike SB custom something like the inverse of the most recent one we would seen. Whereas jwiz had taken the forgotten SF Muni thin-tongued Nike Dunk Low SB and made it into something closer to the Un-Supreme Nike SB Dunk Mid that just released. Cemeterydrive has gone the other direction and made the Stealth, black and Dragon Red design less ‘Un-’ and more Supreme-ish thanks to a run of Elephant Print markings on the tumbled leather overlay. Regular NewKicksOnTheBlog readers will remember this guy as the same who Elephent’d the Chromeball Incident Lows last summer. Which pair turned out better?

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Sole Classics

Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke by Sole Classics Sneaker

NewKicksOnTheBlog brought you the unfortunate word that the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared Hyperfuse wouldn’t make it to retail, in part because it was reserved as a special giveaway to attendees of CrookedTongues recent Labor Day BBQ. They are not the only sneaker shop celebrating with exclusive prizes, and in a certain way, the giveaway goodies from Sole Classics 5th anniversary has CT beaten. That is because even as there are believed to be less than a hundred pairs of Nike Air Max 90 Infrared Fuses in existence, each Nike Air Force 1 Bespoke is a true 1 of 1, and raffle winner King JD’s bounty is indeed a unique breed. Mixing black leather and wool with a natural cork rear plus select pink and teal accents results in a South Beach-in-the-forest look that along with the SC logo makes for a design unlike anything else we’ve seen from the studio at 21 Mercer. Where do they rank against the other Nike Air Force 1 Bespokes we have profiled?
